Cachi

If the idea is to rest but also benefit to know places in northern Argentina, an ideal option is the village of Cachi. It is an old town that seems frozen in time, with its narrow cobblestone streets and colonial buildings. Besides enjoying the tranquility of the place, you can make several walks and excursions as a city tour to know its cultural richness and travel the Straight of Tin Tin located minutes from Cachi, one of the most beautiful and striking scenarios North Country.

Purmamarca

Another Argentine locality North combining tranquility with interesting walks is Purmamarca. This town is considered the most picturesque of the Quebrada de Humahuaca although geographically belongs to another namesake creek. The pins are the Cerro de los Siete Colores and the Purmamarca River. Also, from this location you can visit the Salinas Grandes.

Cafayate

One of the most famous towns in this region is Cafayate. This tourist village is located in the Calchaquíes Valleys in the southwest of the province of Salta. In addition to taste their wines, we recommend visiting the Museum of the Vine and Wine, the Museum of Archaeology and tour the Paseo de los Artesanos located opposite the main square.
A good option is to visit Cafayate in February to participate in the traditional event Serenata to Cafayate where folk artists meet. It is one of the most important events in the province of Salta and also one of the highlights of the country.
